Westbrook and a cash Abrines assault some Nuggets without Juancho Hernangómez

Russell Westbrook is the lord and master of the Thunder. This seems to start to understand both Paul George and Carmelo Anthony, who stepped back and gave all the prominence to the current NBA MVP in the tight victory that the Thunder added to the Denver Nuggets, which were imposed by 95-94 .

Westbrook scored 16 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter, including free throws that snapped his team’s win, the seventh in the last 10 games. The base completed his great performance with nine rebounds, six assists and three steals in 37 minutes of play.

With these numbers the Californian base helped the Thunder to palliate the gray match of Paul George that ended with eight points. and Carmelo Anthony, who did the same with four.
On this occasion Westbrook found the perfect ally in Álex Abrines. The Spaniard was the only Thunder player who, along with the MVP, beat the double scoring digits. And he did it without failure.

Abrines came off the bench and finished with 11 points to score the three triples he tried and the two free throws he had. The Spaniard, in addition, captured five rebounds and stole a ball in the 14 minutes he was on the court.
The pair formed by Wesbrook and the ÑBA was enough to quell the rebellion led by Gary Harris (15 points) and Trey Lyles (14). The Nuggets, who did not have the contest of Juancho Hernangómez by technical decision, had up to five players with double digits in scoring, although this time his effort was not enough.
