Sergio Llull could return in the third and crucial match against Panathinaikos

The wait is over. After 258 in the dry dock Sergio Llull will again step on a basketball court on April 25 in the third quarterfinal match of the Euroleague against Panathinaikos, as advanced by Onda Cero. The Balearic player thus puts an end to a recovery of more than eight months after breaking the crusader of his left knee.

The player was injured on August 10, 2017 in Tenerife, during a game in which he faced the Spanish team in Belgium. A friendly clash that ended with the worst possible news for ‘The Incredible Llull’: the crusader broke and missed the Eurobasket and a good part of the season with Real Madrid.

After going through the operating room, Llull began to work by piece to return as soon as possible. A process that has been shared on social networks and which has seen the Balearic acerelerando in recent weeks to be with their peers in the decisive stretch of the season as the ‘playoffs’ of the Euroleague and the final games of the regular season in the Endesa League.

The own Llull assured a few days ago that if Madrid reaches the Final Four of the maximum continental competition would be safe in it. “A hypothetical Final Four I do not miss it for sure, that’s a little more than a month, but you have to go little by little, step by step, it would not be good for the team to rush me and try to come back sooner.”
