Real Madrid sign Walter Tavares for three seasons

Real Madrid has reached an agreement for the incorporation of Walter Tavares, pivot of 25 years and 2.20 meters, according to El Mundo. The Cape Verdean player, who will be fit to arrive at Gran Canaria at age 17, will sign, as MARCA has learned, a contract for three seasons. His arrival responds to the need of the white team to reinforce the inner game after the serious injuries of Ognjen Kuzmic, who will miss the entire season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, and the most recent one by Gustavo Ayón, who he will be about four months out of work due to a lesion on the lower border of the left shoulder labrum. The aim of the Real Madrid team is to make their debut in the Classic against Barcelona on Sunday.
Tavares was first on the list when Real Madrid scouted the market after Kuzmic’s injury. However, the former player of Gran Canaria wanted to speed up his options to play in the NBA and signed with the Raptors 905, a subsidiary of Toronto in the Development League. The whites, beset by the plague of injuries from inside players, have made a new attempt, have upped their offer and have taken the player they intended despite the fact that Barcelona had already tempted him for next season. Also, it will not be a patch. His signing for three years makes him an important part of the project in the medium term.
