LeBron James: ‘If it does not come out of me, it’s not true’

LeBron James says any thoughts he is interested in playing for the Golden State Warriors are “nonsense.”
On Thursday, ESPN reported that James would consider meeting with the NBA champions this summer when he can get out of his contract and become a free agent. James said that at first he laughed at the report and then got upset because he questions “what I’m trying to do here, it’s a disrepute to my teammates and the coaching staff here.”
James understands that there will always be speculation about his future, but any link with the Warriors “is not a story”.

“There have been so many stories about me in recent months and in the last few days about where I am going and where I am and where I am in. I am here, I am here … and I am in this moment, and this is my present, and this is where I am, “said James.
“If you do not hear something that comes from my voice, then it’s not true, I do not care how close they are, if they are my children, my wife or whatever, if it’s not from me, it’s not true.”
The 33-year-old said reports about him undercut his attempt to take the Cavs to their fourth consecutive NBA final. James and the Cavs have played against Golden State in the last three finals.
James said he intends to play the rest of his career in Cleveland, but that has not diminished speculation about his next move.
